Sports Massage uses a range of soft-tissue techniques to help reduce muscular tension, improve movement and support recovery.
It is suitable for both athletes and lifestyle. You do not need to participate in sport to benefit. Treatment can be adapted to suit your needs, whether you are managing general tightness, recovering from training or simply feeling the effects of work and everyday life.
Sports Massage may be helpful for:
Every treatment is adapted to your comfort, preferences and reasons for attending.
Your therapist will begin by discussing any areas of tension, discomfort or restriction and what you would like to gain from the session.
Treatment will then focus on the relevant areas using techniques selected according to your needs and preferred level of pressure.
Your appointment may include:
Not every technique will be used during every appointment. Your therapist will discuss the treatment with you and adapt it throughout the session.
Sports Massage does not need to be extremely painful to be effective.
Pressure and techniques can be adjusted throughout your appointment, whether you prefer a deeper treatment or a more comfortable recovery-focused session.
Your therapist will work with you to ensure that the treatment remains appropriate and purposeful.
